Assessment and Evaluation

Occupational therapists begin their intervention with a thorough assessment and evaluation of the individual's abilities and needs. This process involves understanding the patient's medical history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. By conducting various tests and observations, the therapist can identify specific areas that require improvement and develop a customised treatment plan tailored to the individual's unique situation.
